Hello everyone! Today, something not really photography related, but very much needed from me as I head into this summer!
Over the past five months (I can’t believe it’s been five months already!) since I started this blog, I have loved every second of it. Writing and posting on this site has motivated me to continue practicing photography and honing my craft, and given me another creative outlet to use as the world has been on pause due to COVID-19. To my surprise, I’ve actually been able to keep posting pretty consistently, and continue to have inspiration for this blog– something that hasn’t happened with some of my blogs in the past. And I would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to all of you who read my blogs, like or comment on them, and subscribe. Every notification I get truly warms my heart, and it’s amazing that I’m able to reach others and connect with them through what I write.
That being said, this coming summer I will be working a pretty around-the-clock job in an area that has hit-or-miss internet connection, which means that I expect a pretty great decline in the amount of photography I will be able to do as well as the amount of blog posts I put out.
These past months, I’ve been able to stick to a pretty consistent schedule: A new post every Monday and Thursday. However, due to the nature of my job, this blog may have to be put on hold until I return home at the end of summer. While I will, of course, do my best to continue posting on here, I wanted to give a fair warning that those posts might not come, or at the very least won’t come as consistently or often. I hope you understand, and continue to support me when I am able to post.
Another thing I want to address is the timing of my posts. Because I have been very happy with posting twice a week, and my weeks vary from one to the other, my posts are often not written with a clear time line in hand. For example, today, as I’m writing this post, it is May 30th, 2021. However, this post won’t go live until June 10th, 2021. When I have the content, inspiration, and time, I write a post, and simply schedule it in the next slot in my schedule to go live. I tend to write overall in a pretty present-time voice, so just in case there’s any confusion of when I’m writing a post verse posting it I wanted to put that out there.
With all that being said, I want to thank you all again. I never imagined this blog would stick with me so much, and I have you all to thank for that. I’m going to do my best to write some more posts before I leave this summer in order to have a few more scheduled posts, but until then, please stay connected with me! Leave comments on my posts, or head over to my Instagram to check out my work.
And, to make up for the lack of actual content in this post, I wanted to give you a sneak peak at some of the posts I will be making in the future, so look out for those!
